Villari’s
Self Defense Centers conducts these tournaments as an opportunity
for students from all Villari’s schools to
meet in a spirit of fun and friendly competition, where winning
is in
simply competing.
When to be there: Please check the tournament schedule carefully
for the time of the appropriate event and try to arrive at
least 30 minutes to an hour before the event to acclimate yourself
and/or
your child to the environment.
This
year's tournament featured 120 competitors and hosted nearly 400
spectators. It was a great day for all!

Master Pfister,
Just
wanted to take a break from my insane schedule and send you a
well-earned THANK YOU for setting up a great tournament!
Most
inspiring moment of all karate history: Brandon, upon arriving
early, realized that there really was a tournament going on and
that
his
3 Stooges interpretation of 1 Pinan wasn't going to fly. Then Darren
helped him practice it for real right before the tournament started.
Brandon got enough of it to make a good presentation and I was REALLY
proud of both boys. I told Darren afterwards that his sparring and
his
own form were demonstrations of skill, but the way he helped Brandon
was a demonstration of true martial arts spirit. It was awesome,
thanks
again for making moments like this possible :)

"Master
Pfister,
I want to e-mail and tell you what a great time I had at the tournament
on Saturday. Getting to help out with events and competing is just
an AMAZING feeling. Seeing Mrs. Turinpseed and everyone do their
forms, I saw all the effort and spirit they had (aside from classes).
Plus I was really proud of myself for my self defense. Luke is a
great partner. I cannot wait until next year and hopefully I will
see you in class on Saturday and more permanently soon (like April-ish).
My GP project is on track and my teacher says she is confident that
I am ready. Thank you for your input, it was a great help writing
up my support paper.
